Daycare Training Program

Daycare Training is a four-week program that runs Monday-Friday. Like daycare your dog stays with us during the day and will go home in the evenings and weekend. Drop off is between 7:30am - 8:30am and pick up between 5pm - 6pm. While we want to keep to this schedule, we understand that life can be busy so if these times don't work, please don't hesitate to reach out so we can discuss times that work better for you!

While at home on evenings and weekends you will be asked to continue life as normal and not begin any training at home yet as your dog is still learning. Since every dog and situation is different, your trainer may ask you to implement small changes at home during this course to help your dog be more successful while they are with us for training. That said, you won't have to worry about any training or homework with your dog until the course is complete!

This program is designed for the dog who just needs basic manners, obedience training and off leash skills. Dogs with major behavioral issues such as aggression or separation anxiety are not eligible for Daycare Training. This program may not be a good fit for dogs who are fearful, anxious or lack food motivation. During your consultation with your trainer, it is important to answer all questions about your dogs behavior truthfully and as thoroughly as possible. This ensures that we can recommend the program that would not only be best for your dogs personality, but also the program that would give you the best results. If your trainer feels like one program is a better fit over another, we will be sure to answer any questions and explain why one option might be better for your pup than another. Remember, your trainer is on the same team as you! You both want your dog to be successful with their training both during and after the program!

 

During this program your dog will get on & off leash training, 10 obedience command, kennel training,

basic manners, leash manners, and socialization with other dogs. After they have completed their four weeks of training you will have "Graduation Lessons" with your trainer so you can learn about the training your dog has received and begin using their training at home! "Graduation Lessons" are private lessons with your trainer that are approximately 1-1.5 hours long. Every dog and family learns at a different pace so we do not have a set number of lessons, on average it will be about 5 lessons. Some families are done in four while others need a few extra, we are happy to schedule as many as you need so you feel happy and confident with your dogs training!

After your dog  graduates it is important for you to practice their training with them at home. This helps you get comfortable and confident with their training and will ensure your dog understands they they should listen to you just like they listened to their trainer! Your success after training is very important to us, so during your "Graduation Lessons" we will go over our "90 Day Homework Plan" and create a custom schedule for you and your pup to help you make training a part of everyday life. Additionally you will be get three "Follow Up Lessons" to use 30, 60, and 90 days after Graduation so your trainer can help with any bumps in the road you may be having or even just to help you continue to advance your dogs training!​​​​
